'Tis The Season To Be Busy.....And We Have Been in Our Hive!

Students have been busy practicing their reading by "activating" their Reading Super Powers!

                                           We just uncovered Re-reading Power!

Here are some pictures from October and November.....

Re-telling our storybooks with as much of the exact words as we can to our partner!

We had fun substituting different beginning sounds for "gobble" in our Turkey poem!

In October, we gather some interesting pieces of nature to write about in Writing Workshop!

Welcome to our Class Blog!  I'm so happy to finally get this first post published!  Hopefully this will be a fun format for you to enjoy pictures of "Happenings in our "Hive"!

At the start of the year, we read, Have You Filled A Bucket Today?
Then we all made buckets filled with kindness!

On International Peace Day, Ms. Rice's second graders sent a poster with a dove to each class so we could add our fingerprint.

We all need to work on strengthening our fine motor skills, so these engaging activities were just right
for a little challenge!

Exploring some of our free choice activities with our new friends!
